Client: AGIP KCO via KazTransCom
We have recently begun working with KazTransCom to help it upgrade and expand existing access control equipment.
The project involves supplying card readers housed in ATEX certified flameproof enclosures suitable for use in Zone 1, Gas Group IIB and temperature class T3.
Our technology is being intergrated with an existing access control system owned by AGIP KCO. KazTransCom approached us specifically to obtain suitable ATEX certified equipment for use in Zone 1 hazardous areas.
They specified our access control and we then designed and supplied suitable enclosures to meet the client’s specification.
One design criteria was that the units had to be ATEX certified for operation at -40ºC due to the extreme low temperatures in this region. This involved special pressure testing of the enclosures and approval by SIRA.
All 190 access control units have successfully passed our factory acceptance testing, with a full power up network and performance trials
